“La française” is a small beach located in the city center more precisely on the Malecon. It is an ideal stop if you want to take a quick sea bathing.

“La Française” is the only beach of Fort-de-France. You can taste sinobol (crushed ice with syrup), local treats (“tablettes Coco”: sweets made with coconut, “nougats caramelisés”: sweets made with peanuts, filibos: mint and aniseed-flavored candies and lotchios: coconut sweets)
It is located near a playground for children. You will also find street vendors.
